About the Instructor
- Dr. Safwan Sachora is an MD doctor and pharmacologist with expertise in medical affairs, clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and evidence-based scientific communication. His experience spans the pharmaceutical industry, clinical practice, and academic medicine, giving him a strong understanding of both patient care and industry-driven healthcare solutions.
- As an Area Medical Advisor, he has been involved in the pre-launch and launch of innovative migraine therapies, scientific engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), dissemination of clinical trial evidence, medical education initiatives, advisory boards, and cross-functional training. He has also contributed to consensus-building activities and educational evidence-generation projects aligned with medical and regulatory standards.
- Dr. Sachora has expertise in academic pharmacology, where he taught UG medical students, conducted practical sessions, mentored learners, and participated in clinical and experimental research. His background also includes experience as a Medical Officer and independent clinical practitioner, strengthening his expertise in clinical decision-making and patient management.
- He has authored peer-reviewed publications in pharmacovigilance and drug utilization research and has completed advanced training in biomedical research and clinical trial regulations. His academic interests include rational drug use, clinical trial methodology, drug safety, and medical education.
- At Academically, Dr. Safwan Sachora mentors learners enrolled in clinical and non-clinical courses such as, Executive Programme in Medical Affairs and Clinical Drug Development. Through his industry and academic experience, he helps learners develop practical skills, understand real-world pharmaceutical workflows, and prepare for careers in Medical Science Liaison, Drug Safety, Clinical Research, and other roles.
