Dr. Gazala has pursued her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery and Doctor of Medicine in Biochemistry.
She is currently working in Bahrain as a registered biochemist and also possesses over 5 years of teaching experience.
Along with vast experience in teaching MBBS, BDS and MLT students, She has a good knowledge of Quality Assurance. I have also successfully received the NABL Laboratory accreditation in India.
Dr. Gazala has cleared the MOH examination to be eligible to practice in Bahrain.

About The AIMS Examination

What is the AIMS Exam?

The AIMS exam evaluates overseas-trained medical laboratory technicians to check if they qualify for the skilled occupation of a medical laboratory scientist and professional membership with AIMS.

The AIMS exam is a crucial step for those aspiring to become certified medical laboratory scientists in Australia. It assesses candidates' grasp of different scientific concepts and laboratory techniques and their ability to apply these skills.

AIMS Exam Eligibility Criteria

A medical laboratory technology degree candidate is evaluated using the NOOSR educational assessment guidelines in the Country Education Profiles, deemed comparable to an Australian Associate Diploma from a Technical and Further Education college.

To be eligible for the exam, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Possess a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory technology.
Have at least two years of medical laboratory work experience within the five years preceding the assessment application.
Demonstrate English language proficiency through IELTS, OET, or PTE.

Procedure for AIMS

1. English Proficiency

The candidate applying for the AIMS professional exam should be proficient in the English language and must provide proof for the same while applying. By taking tests like IELTS/OET/PTE, English proficiency can be evaluated. The candidate should have a band score of 7 in each component.

2. Skills Assessment

The application for the assessment should be submitted along with the supporting documents. At this point, the AIMS verifies the submitted documents. Once the above procedure is completed, the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists completes the assessment, and the candidate will receive the results via mail.

3.AIMS Professional Exam

Take the AIMS Professional Exam through an online mode, and clear it to get registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Australia. The exam is 3 hours long and is an online proctored test.

Exam Format

The AIMS exam comprises 150 multiple-choice questions with single responses, and candidates have three hours to complete the test. To pass the exam, a student must provide 80 correct answers within three hours.

The examination is typically held biannually, in March and September.

Testing Centres

Exam centres are available in 11 different countries, with the centre in India situated in New Delhi.
