Greetings from Papua New Guinea. At first I didn’t know where to start and how to approach the AMC MCQ exam. Since June 2023 when I started this sessions on AMC preparation the story is different now. The Two lecturers Namely, Dr Swapnil and Dr Udara are exceptionally committed and deliver well. The team is always available to answer to us anytime. They provide great support. I have not done the skill assessment yet, hoping to get that done this week and hopefully I will sit for the exam in November 2023.

Candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency in English by taking an approved English language test, such as IELTS, and achieving the required scores.

Complete EPIC Verification
Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (EPIC) verification may be necessary to authenticate your primary medical qualification.

Take PLAB 1
After scoring the desired marks in IELTS, international medical graduates must pass PLAB 1, a written examination consisting of multiple-choice questions that assess their medical knowledge.

Take PLAB 2
After clearing PLAB 1 and completing EPIC Verification, candidates need to pass PLAB 2, which is an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) assessing clinical and communication skills in various scenarios.

Apply for GMC Registration
Once both PLAB exams are successfully completed, candidates can apply to the General Medical Council (GMC) for registration, allowing them to practice medicine in the UK, subject to meeting other requirements.

PLAB 1

PLAB 1 is a written examination consisting of 180 multiple-choice questions that must be completed within a three-hour time frame. Each question begins with a brief scenario, followed by a corresponding query. Your task is to select the correct answer from the five options provided.
