What matters to a global healthcare academy? You. Your success. Your contentment. That is exactly what we, Academically team, have pledged since Day 1. Today is one of those days when everything feels worthwhile. The OPRA results are live, and we can’t help but rejoice over the great success. We are proud to have students from all walks of life, that has made this humongous success possible.

OPRA, as the name suggests, is a licensure exam for those who want to work as a registered pharmacist in Australia. If you're an overseas pharmacist, you need to prove your pharmacy knowledge and Australian pharmacy laws by qualifying this exam.

This year, our OPRA batch of students has truly set the bar high. With very high success rate, they’ve demonstrated what can be achieved with sheer determination. Behind each number is a person who is a superhero in their way. Let’s get to know about their success stories.

Stories that Deserve the Spotlight

Our team got goosebumps hearing stories from studying in street light to saving money in a piggy bank for an entire year to fulfill dreams. Let’s talk about this lady who is a hospital pharmacist from the coastal plains of Kerala. She has worked endless night shifts and studied during the day. There were moments she thought of quitting, but consistent support from our mentors, programme managers, and AI adaptive mock tests boosted her confidence to keep going. She passed the OPRA exam on her first attempt, and we are so proud of her.

And then there's this pharmacy store manager who had almost given up after failing in his first attempt. He enrolled in our OPRA preparation course. He attended every live session, reviewed his own performance through mock tests. The result? He has not only cleared the exam but also secured a job offer from a pharmacy chain in Sydney.

1. Shan from Kerala, India: 9 years as a pharmacy professor before deciding to chase his dream. Another candidate, a PhD holder with a Postdoc in Australia, told me that even at that level, OPRA opened doors that were previously shut and made securing PR and a stable job much easier.

2. Mrs. Patel from Gujarat: once a community pharmacist earning a minimal salary in India. Today, she’s starting her first job in Australia as an assistant pharmacist. She credits her Indian work experience for helping her land the role.

3. Quratalain from Pakistan: 12 years in the pharmaceutical industry. She called OPRA her pathway to a better life, as industry jobs at home were scarce and far from her family.

4. Rama Krishna from Hyderabad: BPharm graduate, GPAT qualified, MPharm from NIPER Hyderabad, and 8 years in Dubai as a pharmacist. Now, he’s cleared OPRA and is ready to begin his career in Australia.

Did you know…

Dr. Akram Ahmad, the Founder and CEO of Academically Global Pvt Ltd, has humble beginnings, too. Coming from a small town, Sahaswan in Uttar Pradesh, he had many hardships to face. From studying under street lights to facing demotivation from people when he started his YouTube channel, he has faced it all. But what kept him going was his grit and determination. Today, he is one of the most prominent pharma leaders in the world, holding a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney, having taught in Australia, India, Malaysia, and is the first Indian to be felicitated with a Global Talent Visa, among numerous other achievements.

What makes our approach different?

At Academically, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We recognise that every learner is different, and that’s why our OPRA preparation course is designed with flexibility, relevance, and results in mind.

1. AI-Adaptive Mock Tests: A First in India

Our platform is the first healthcare Ed-Tech company in India to offer AI-driven mock tests specifically for licensure exam preparation. What does that mean for students? Instead of facing random sets of questions, they receive mock tests that evolve based on their performance. If someone struggles with clinical case questions, the AI presents more of them, building skill through repetition and targeted feedback.

Students have shared their feedback with programme managers that this has made a huge difference in reducing their exam anxiety. They felt better prepared, not just academically but mentally. After the results, when our programme managers interviewed the candidates personally, we got to know how these AI mock tests helped them in better time management. It is exactly how Rasch methodology assesses the exam answers. Gone are those days when you’d miss out on attempting questions on paper due to less time.

2. Trainers Who Understand the Terrain

Our faculty doesn’t just consist of generic tutors. These are professionals who have themselves cracked the OPRA exam or have worked in the Australian healthcare sector. They know the standards, the expectations, and how to bridge the gap for overseas pharmacists.

Every student gains real-world insights that are not easily found in books or online materials.

3. A Course Designed for those with Demanding Schedules

We understand that most of our students are working professionals. That’s why we offer live classes, recorded sessions, structured weekly targets, and weekend support. We designed this programme to work with your schedule, not against it. Whether you’re studying between shifts or using your weekends to revise, we make sure you never fall behind.

We have candidates who run their own pharmacy full-time alongside preparing for OPRA. Hats off to their dedication and commitment.

4. A Peer Community That Has Your Back

Preparing for OPRA can feel isolating, especially if you’re doing it online. That’s why we’ve built an engaged peer community on Discord, Telegram, and WhatsApp, where students can exchange ideas, solve doubts, and even share emotional support. Many of our students say this sense of community kept them motivated.

More Than Just a Score

This year’s results mean a lot to us. Not just because of the high pass rate, but because of what our students overcame. Some dealt with health issues. Others were handling financial stress. A few were preparing alongside caring for small children.

Their stories show that the human spirit is stronger than any syllabus. And their success reminds us why we do what we do.
