GPAT 2025 Exam
To get admission into a good pharmacy college, candidates need to score high. There are nearly 850 pharmacy colleges in India that provide an M.Pharm degree, with nearly 30,000 seats.
The GPAT 2025 exam was conducted on 25th May, 2025. The results for the exam will be released by 25th June, 2025. GPAT 2025 marks can be calculated with the help of the official GPAT 2025 Answer Key provided by GPAT (to be released soon).
Once you have your results in hand, you can apply to the individual institutes for counselling. The GPAT score is valid for a period of three years.
GPAT 2025 Marks: How to Calculate?
The GPAT 2025 exam has multiple-choice questions, with one correct answer. The exam duration is 3 hours. There are a total of 125 questions that should be attempted. The marking will be done as:
- +4 marks for every correct answer
- -1 mark for every wrong answer
- 0 mark for unanswered questions
Based on your marks, you will be ranked. Candidates can find their score through the GPAT official GPAT 2025 Answer Key, which is released soon after the exam.

Candidates who pass the GPAT 2025 exam will also be eligible to receive a post-graduation scholarship, approved by AICTE, of Rs. 12,400/ month.

GPAT 2025 Rank
The GPAT 2025 rank will depend on the GPAT 2025 score.
The overall rank is with respect to all the candidates who registered for the GPAT 2025 exam. For example, if 2 lakh students have taken the exam, an SC/ST candidate with an overall rank of 398 is ranked 398 among all the 2 lakh candidates who have taken the exam, irrespective of categories.
The section for category rank shows the rank within the category selected by the candidate (eg, OBC, Gen, etc.). For example, OBC category rank 47 means that the candidate is placed at the 47th position within the OBC category.

GPAT 2025 Rank: Influencing Factors
Aside from the GPAT 2025 marks, other factors will influence the GPAT 2025 rank.
- Number of Candidates for the Exam: More than 50,000 students took the GPAT 2025 exam. As the number of candidates grows, so does the competition. A candidate can score good marks, but based on the number of students who also scored the same marks, the rank can be lower.
- Difficulty Level of the Exam: This will influence the exam score. A high level of difficulty makes it harder to score higher marks. In such cases, the cut-off score also goes down.
- Normalization Process: This is a process where candidates get their percentile result. Candidates with a 75% percentile have scored more than 75% of the total candidates. This is an important comparison parameter.
- Availability of Seats: Availability of seats leads to tough competition. Even if the candidate scores well, if the seats are limited, only the higher-ranked candidate will get the seat.
- Tie-breaking Criteria: This is the most important metric when candidates are given a rank. If the candidates have the same marks in the GPAT 2025 exam, the ranking will be higher if the candidate has:
- Higher marks in Pharmacy Practice
- Higher marks in Pharmaceutics
- Earlier Date of Birth (older candidate gets preference)
GPAT 2025 Score: Previous Years’ Cut-Off Marks
The GPAT cut-off marks are the score a student needs to score to pass the GPAT exam. It is important to know that no stipend will be given if the GPAT exam is not qualified.
Check the previous years’ (2024, 2023, 2022) cut-off marks to get a general idea of the trend. As stated, these cut-off marks change with the highest score, difficulty level of the paper, and the number of students taking the test every year.
