FMGE December 2025 Timeline

The FMGE Exam is held twice a year, once in June and once in December.  The next FMGE will be held on the 17^th January 2026.

The results for the FMGE are usually released 4-6 weeks after the exam. Let us look at some of the previous FMGE exam dates and the dates on which the results were released.

For the FMGE December 2025 Exam Session, the results will be released on the 17^th of February, 2026.

How to Check FMGE Result Online

The result is usually available as a PDF list of roll numbers and pass/fail status. Individual scorecards will be available later under the candidate login

Make sure to have a stable internet connection and credentials ready before you check your results.

FMGE Scorecard and Cut-Off Score

What If You Passed FMGE? 

Clearing the PMGE exam is no easy feat. It is one of the toughest assessments with a pass rate of 20%. Once you have a positive scorecard in hand, start charting your future course.

A. Apply for Provisional Registration:

• Apply through the respective State Medical Council (SMC) website or the official website of NMC
• Submit the FMGE pass certificate (issued by NBEMS)
• Submit original documents, mark sheets, and internship request if not done abroad

• If you haven’t completed a 12-month internship abroad, or it isn’t NMC-compliant
• Apply for an internship slot at an NMC-approved Indian medical college or hospital

C. Verification Process:

• Biometric verification by NBEMS
• Timelines for the pass certificate distribution and in-person collection

D. Planning Your Medical Career in India:

• Choosing specialization
• Applying for PG exams (NEET-PG)

Important note: The FMGE exam will soon be replaced with NExT (National Exit Test). The NExT exam will replace both FMGE and NEET-PG to create a standardized approach to getting your registration to practice medicine or pursuing PG studies.
