Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) is conducted by NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences). It is held twice a year in June and December. It’s not a competitive exam. It’s a screening test to ensure your medical knowledge meets the standards required to register with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council.

How to Apply for FMGE?

• If you started your medical course after March 15, 2002, you’ll need an Eligibility Certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC).

FMGE Exam Pattern and Timing

• Passing Criteria: You need to score at least 150 out of 300 to pass
