Dreams don’t change with time, they simply wait for the moment you decide to chase them again. This journey of Prarthana is proof that no matter how long the gap, consistency and the right guidance can bring you back on track.
A Dream That Stayed Alive for Years
Prarthana completed her B.Pharm from Nagpur University in 2005, and like many graduates, life gradually moved her away from academics. Years passed, responsibilities grew, and the idea of studying again started to feel distant. However, the dream of becoming a registered pharmacist in Australia never truly faded it simply waited for the right moment to return.
Restarting After a Long Gap
Restarting her journey after such a long break was not easy. There were constant doubts about whether she could compete with fresh graduates or adapt to studying again. Despite this, she chose to move forward step by step, even when confidence was not fully there. That decision to restart became the foundation of everything that followed.
The Breakthrough: KAPS 2023
As part of her preparation journey, Prarthana enrolled in KAPS (OPRA) coaching with Academically, where she built a strong conceptual foundation and structured approach to studying. With consistent effort and the right guidance, she successfully cleared the KAPS exam in November 2023. This achievement was more than just passing an exam it was proof that determination can overcome even the longest academic gaps.
Following this achievement, she moved ahead to gain practical exposure by doing her internship in Australia, which further strengthened her clinical understanding and real-world experience.
The Real Challenge: Intern Oral Exam
After completing her internshop, she continued her preparation by enrolling in Australian Intern Pharmacist Exam coaching with Academically. This phase required a different level of preparation, focusing not just on knowledge but also on communication, clinical thinking, and confidence under pressure. There were moments of anxiety and overthinking, especially while practicing case-based discussions and speaking tasks.
The Role of the Right Guidance
During this phase, the support she received played a crucial role. In her email after passing, Prarthana expressed heartfelt gratitude to Academically’s faculty. Their structured guidance, mentorship, and encouragement helped her strengthen both her concepts and her confidence, which proved essential for the oral exam.
She chose Academically because of:
- Structured and well-organised exam preparation approach
- Strong focus on real exam-based and case-based scenarios
- Regular AI based mock tests
- Clear explanation of complex clinical concepts
- Continuous mentorship and personalised guidance
- Regular practice sessions to improve confidence and communication
Gradual Growth and Confidence
With consistent preparation and the right support system, things began to improve. She became more comfortable with case-based discussions and more confident in expressing her thoughts. While the fear did not completely disappear, it no longer controlled her performance.
The Moment of Success
When the results were announced and she saw that she had passed the Intern Oral Exam, it was an emotional moment. It represented years of patience, months of effort, and the courage to begin again despite uncertainty. This success was not just about clearing an exam it was about proving to herself that she was capable.
What Her Journey Teaches Us
Prarthana’s journey shows that success does not follow a fixed timeline. Being a 2005 graduate and achieving milestones like clearing KAPS in 2023 and then the Intern Oral Exam highlights that it is never too late to pursue your goals. What truly matters is persistence and the willingness to keep going.
Prarthana’s success was not the result of perfect conditions or an easy path. It came from her decision to continue despite challenges. Her story serves as a reminder that no matter how delayed a journey may seem, dedication and resilience can still lead to success.
