Greetings from Papua New Guinea. At first I didn’t know where to start and how to approach the AMC MCQ exam. Since June 2023 when I started this sessions on AMC preparation the story is different now. The Two lecturers Namely, Dr Swapnil and Dr Udara are exceptionally committed and deliver well. I have not done the skill assessment yet, hoping to get that done this week and hopefully I will sit for the exam in November 2023.

What is the DHA Pharmacists Exam?
The growing healthcare system in Dubai has an increasing demand for several healthcare professionals, including pharmacists. To manage the staff shortage, Dubai invites healthcare professionals worldwide to become registered in Dubai.
The Dubai Health Authority Pharmacist Exam is a licensure exam for overseas pharmacists wanting to work in Dubai. This exam ensures the qualification and competency of professionals in Dubai’s healthcare system.
The DHA exam validates your:
- Academic knowledge

- Practical decision-making skills
Only upon passing the exam can you get registered with the DHA.
After you pass the exam, you will receive your eligibility letter. You can use this to secure a job. Once you are in Dubai, your employer will sponsor your license activation.

Procedure for DHA Pharmacists Exam
Steps to Register for the DHA Exam
- Create an account on DHA’s Sheryan portal.
- Complete the Self-Assessment Tool to check eligibility.
- Upload all required documentation for Primary Source Verification (PSV) via DataFlow.
- Schedule your exam through Prometric and pay exam fees.
- Receive confirmation with DHA Unique ID and slot details.
- Take the exam. Results are displayed 1-4 weeks after the exam.
- There is no marking. The results will only display either “Pass” or “Fail”.

There is no age bar for appearing in the DHA exam.
Yes. Dataflow is required for the DHA exam. Document verification through Dataflow is a mandatory step in the process. You can complete Dataflow before or after the DHA exam, but it is advisable to do Dataflow first. This is because the Dataflow process may take more time if your educational, registration, or experience verification contacts do not respond promptly.
There is no need for IELTS/ TOEFL or any other English proficiency test for obtaining a DHA license.
The DHA license is valid for only one year. After that, it needs to be renewed at least three months before the expiry date.
Applications are submitted through the DHA’s Sheryan Portal. Complete the Dataflow verification for your documents. After this, schedule your exam and pay the fee.

No internship is required. You can directly work as a pharmacist in Dubai.
It takes around six weeks to process the DHA pharmacist's exam application.
The Dubai Health Authority's DHA licence is valid only in Dubai. However, the DHA licence can be transferred to other states of the UAE.
You can re-appear for the exam if you fail your DHA exam on your first attempt. But remember, only a maximum of three attempts are given to pass the pharmacist’s DHA exam.
The DHA license for pharmacists is valid for one year, but it can be easily renewed annually.
No, Arabic language proficiency is not mandatory to work in Dubai as a pharmacist. There is no Arabic language test required for pharmacist licensing in Dubai. Most healthcare workplaces operate primarily in English, especially in hospitals, clinics, and multinational pharmacy chains.
However, learning basic Arabic is highly advisable. While not compulsory, it is a valuable additional skill that can:
