Overview of the AMC Exams

The AMC exams are for IMGs who wish to practice medicine in Australia. The AMC offers two main exams:

AMC Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) Exam

This is the first step in the AMC exam process. The AMC MCQ Exam tests your medical knowledge across various topics through multiple-choice questions. It is designed to assess whether you have the fundamental medical knowledge required to practice in Australia.

AMC Clinical Examination

After clearing the MCQ exam, the next step of the assessment process is the AMC Clinical Examination. This step evaluates the practical knowledge of the candidates, the ability to perform medical procedures, communicate with the patients, and apply clinical knowledge in real-life situations. This is a practical, in-person exam that evaluates how you apply your knowledge in a hands-on, clinical setting. They give you a real clinical space environment to test your knowledge, and you need to take this exam in Australia.
