Steps to Select a USMLE Test Centre

When opting for a Prometric USMLE test centre, where exams like USMLE, TOEFL, and GRE are conducted, follow these steps to make the selection process seamless:

Navigate to the Prometric Website

Visit the Prometric website and select "USMLE" from the list of available exams.

Choose Your USMLE Step or Practice Exam

If you are taking Step 1 or Step 2 (CK), a list of countries will appear. Pick your country and state to view USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 (CK) test centres on the Prometric USMLE website.

For Step 3, the available USMLE test centres in the US and its territories will be displayed, and you can make your selection accordingly.

Initiate Test Scheduling

After selecting your exam type and location, proceed to schedule your test.

Obtain a Scheduling Permit

A scheduling permit is issued upon successful exam registration and provides details about the eligibility period.

Schedule Online with Prometric

Share your email ID and phone number during the scheduling process on the Prometric USMLE website.

As of now, there are a total of 345 USMLE exam centres in the United States and Canada. International students have access to approximately 100 USMLE test centres worldwide, excluding the US and Canada.

Test centres in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Nepal, the People's Republic of China (Hong Kong is in the Asia testing region; for other cities in the PRC, select China testing region), Philippines, and Singapore.

For centres in India, the India testing region should be selected.

Test centres in Australia and New Zealand.

Test centres in the People's Republic of China.

For Hong Kong, the Asia testing region should be selected. For other cities in the PRC, choose the China testing region.
